Mt. Fuji Climbing

Mt. Fuji Climbing

Big advantage of this plan :

There are four trails that lead to the summit of Mt. Fuji. Each trail has its own trail head as the starting point.

Take a mountain bus or drive your own car to the trail head of each of the four trails. If you are planning to drive your own car to the 5th station, check the periods of passenger car traffic restriction.

Restriction Period; July 10 noon – September 10 noon. It is out of vehicle restriction period this time; we can drive our own car to the 5th station, which is the starting point. This is a big advantage for you to take our plan. =

Start at Fuji-Subaru Line 5th Station (Yoshida trail)

We can have lunch at a restaurant at the 5th station, or we prepare it by ourselves. We have lunch and get used to our bodies to low air pressure for preventing altitude sickness.

Arrive at Torii-so & a short nap

Torii-so: Torii-so is a mountain retreat with “a red torii-gate” at the 7th station and its altitude is about 2,900m. Established in 1869 (Meiji 2 nen).
After a short nap, we start climbing to the top of the Mt.Fuji. We need a flashlight because of climbing up at midnight.

Mt.Fuji summit & the sunrise

Watching the sunrise spectacle, we have breakfast.
We can buy Omamori(a charm) and Goshuin(a red ink stamp) at the summit.
Mt.Fuji climbing is very popular among people from foreign countries.
